The heck with the critics. This was a funny, funny movie. Eddie Murphy will have you rolling when you see him portray Norbit, the robust Rasputia, and Mr. Wong. That's right, Eddie plays all three roles, like only Eddie can.
Despite negative reviews, Norbit grossed more than $95 million in the U.S. Not bad for a movie the critics panned. Word of mouth, and a popular cast, got Norbit over. In addition to Eddie Murphy, Norbit featured popular comedians Eddie Griffin and Katt Williams, along with Terry Crews from Everybody Hates Chris. The divergence of opinions between the critics and the moviegoers just goes to show, when it comes to movies you have to decide for yourself.
